The Gold Coast has many different local transport solutions for tourists.
The main ways of getting around on the Gold Coast are by:

Airports
Queensland has two international airports Brisbane Airport and Coolangatta
Airport. Coolangatta airport is approximately 25 minutes from the
heart of Surfers Paradise. Booking stations for Airport Buses, Taxi
services and Hire Cars are located at the departure terminal.

Brisbane Airport is the largest airport in Queensland and is located
around one hours drive from Surfers Paradise. Booking stations for

Gold Coast Taxi
The Gold Coast has a good taxi service available for tourists. Taxis
can either be pre booked or flagged down from the side of the road.
All taxis on the Gold Coasts are metered and are relatively inexpensive.
Gold Coast Buses
Surfside Bus Services is the operator of the Gold Coast local bus
transport system. Tickets are inexpensive and can be purchased from

Gold Coast Trains
The Gold Coast train line is currently being extended and runs from
Robina (25 minutes from Surfers Paradise) to Brisbane. Conveniently
the train line has a stop at both Brisbane domestic and Brisbane International
Airport terminals.
Hire Cars
Several car hire company’s operate on the Gold Coast. Cars can
be hired from departure terminals at the Gold Coast and Brisbane Airport

Scooters are also a poular way of getting around on the Gold Coast
